ABOUT OUR CLUB

The University of Louisville Polo Club is an intercollegiate polo team under the USPA and in association with the Louisville Polo Club.

Frequent Questions
Do I have to know how to ride?
No! Our club is structured for all levels of riders; from beginners to seasoned pros! We have 3 levels of membership; Club, Junior, and Full. For beginners, we also offer beginner riding lessons.
How big is the time commitment?
We like to say what you put into it is what you get out of it. As a Club Member, you will have less of a time commitment than a Varsity player. We have three days of practice during the week; Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 and Sundays at 3. Members are required to come to at least 1 practice a week.
Where does the team practice?
We practice at Alta Vista farm in Goshen, KY off 42. Our farm is roughly 30 minutes from campus. We also occasionally practice at Commonwealth Polo Club in Lexington, KY.
